Soren was born on 9th September 2009 and is the son of Valokki Amalia and Ir/Int Ch. Kilconnell Motorla Tovorla. One of Soren's litter sisters is Tuuli. Soren is jointly owned by Irene Slater and Theo Hardwick. He has a lovely temperament and is a very sociable dog.
Soren passed his Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Gold Award in March 2011 (having earlier passed Bronze and Silver). He was Best Junior dog at both the FS Club Ch Show and FS Society's Open Show in 2010. He was Reserve Best Dog in Show (with a RCC) at the FS Club's Ch Show in 2011. At Crufts in March 2012 he gained his second RCC as Reserve Best Dog. At Windsor Ch. Show in 2012, he was Best of Breed and was one of 8 dogs shortlisted in the Hound Group. He was Best in Breed /BIS at the Finnish Spitz Society Open Show in October 2012.
Soren was BIS and won his first CC at the Finnish Spitz Club's Championship Show in October 2013. He was BoB and won his second CC at the City of Birmingham Show in August 2014. At WELKS on 25th April 2015 he was BoB to win his third CC and become a Champion. Later in 2015, he won a further 2 CCs (Richmond and Finnish Spitz Club Championship) and 3 more RCCs (Birmingham National, Houndshow, and LKA). In addition he was BIS at the Finnish Spitz Society's Open Show. As a result of all these successes, the Finnish Spitz Society awarded him their Ch Forestar Dickon trophy for Best (male) Dog in 2015.
He had KC approved eye tests showing no abnormalities on 7th March 2013.
As well as his canine activities, Soren has also successfully completed the Brighton & South Downs CAMRA "Ale Trail" 5 years running from 2012 to 2016. This involved visiting 40 pubs with his assistant - mainly in the Brighton and Lewes areas of East Sussex - over a 4 month period, travelling by bus, train, and on foot. He's got his stamped Ale Trail 'passports' and prize t-shirts to prove it as well - although they don't fit him very well! He never touched a drop of beer (this is where his assistant had to help out), but did have water and the occasional dog biscuit along the way. After a year off in 2017, Soren did the full Ale Trail for a 6th time in 2018.
