Prior to contacting us at Valokki Kennel, please read and be aware of the following:

◊    We would like you to find out as much as possible about the Finnish Spitz breed. You need to be sure that it is the right breed for you and your lifestyle. As this is a fairly rare breed in the UK, it is a good idea to go and see the breed "in the flesh" with a breeder or an owner prior to deciding. We will be very pleased to give you any information you need.

◊    We will only sell a puppy to an owner who is committed and will take the puppy to socialisation classes and after that to training classes. I work very hard with my puppies and therefore would like you to carry on the good work I have started.

◊   Please note that our puppies are not sold "cash and carry". We would like to meet you first, ideally in our house, where you can see the puppies with their mother and possibly other close relatives. We can then discuss prospective ownership with you.

◊  The puppies are raised in a clean environment in our house. We do our utmost to produce sound, healthy, happy puppies and will, therefore, have socialised and habituated them as well as we can before they leave us at around the age of 8 weeks.

◊  All our puppies are sold subject to a contract signed by both breeder and purchaser. The Kennel Club papers will be endorsed "puppy not for export" and "progeny not for registration" – this is to protect against irresponsible breeding. However, these endorsements may be lifted by us in appropriate circumstances. We will supply a full pedigree and Kennel Club registration certificate (which includes six weeks' free insurance), together with advice on diet, worming treatment, socialising and training. However, under the terms of the sales contract you will be required to take the puppy to a veterinary surgeon at the earliest opportunity in order to arrange a course of vaccinations and a health check.

◊  We give unconditional support and advice for any puppy we breed throughout the dog's life – no problem is too small.  We also like our puppy owners to keep in touch with us.
